Misty Phillips grew up in East Texas and graduated from Huntington High School in Huntington, Texas. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston before completing her Master of Science in Nursing at the University of Texas at Arlington.
Misty’s medical career began as a CNA during high school. She has practiced at several facilities in the East Texas area, gaining experience in emergency medicine, primary care, and hospital medicine. Misty is compassionate in getting to know her patients and strives to always provide comprehensive, personalized care that can overall improve their lives. “I look forward to continuing to serve our local communities through my love of healthcare”, says Misty. “I am reminded daily how much people can learn about their skin, its reflection of their health, and how to improve for years to come. I have learned that by the time people get to a dermatology office, they have either tried multiple things or even dealt with skin concerns for years with no relief. I feel there is something so special about being able to improve someone’s outlook and give them hope for concerns that they’ve chronically dealt with”.
Misty provides medical and cosmetic dermatology services. Her clinical interests include acne, eczema, rosacea, skin cancers, psoriasis, and hair loss.
Misty is happily married to her husband, Randal, who is also an East Texas native. They have one child named Rowan and attend Harmony Hill Baptist Church of Lufkin. When not in the office, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, reading, and attending community events.
