Dr. Theresa Mattingly graduated from Rockhurst University in Kansas City with a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry. She earned a Doctor of Medicine degree from Saint Louis University School of Medicine. She completed an internship in internal medicine from Southern Illinois University School of Medicine, where she also completed a dermatology residency and served as chief resident.
Understanding the significant psychosocial impact that dermatological diseases can have on patients, Dr. Mattingly seeks every opportunity to help improve her patients’ skin conditions and quality of life. She has also always found the visual nature and intellectual challenges of dermatology appealing. She is particularly interested in the detection and treatment of skin cancer, psoriasis, acne and autoimmune diseases.
What Dr. Mattingly enjoys most about dermatology is the ability to interact and build relationships with her patients. She says, “The most rewarding part of my job is being able to meet new patients and have the opportunity to know, care for and learn from a variety of backgrounds, ages and conditions.”
Dr. Mattingly will be serving patients at U.S. Dermatology Partners Lee’s Summit in Missouri.
Dr. Mattingly was born and raised in Missouri. She is thrilled to return to the Midwest, where she can spend time among family and friends. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, playing board games, running, hiking, biking, playing soccer and catching a Cardinals game.
