The best part of the job is developing lasting relationships with patients and families from all backgrounds and walks of life.”
His special interests include the detection and prevention of skin cancer, treating acne and psoriasis, and cosmetic dermatology. He takes particular interest in managing skin rashes from emerging cancer therapies.
“In dermatology, we’re able to make very concrete changes in people’s lives,” Dr. Sam Awan says. “It may be as simple as a bit of filler to boost someone’s confidence or as critical as the early detection and removal of a skin cancer. Establishing care with a local dermatologist early on is an essential step for anyone interested in protecting their skin health.”
