We strive to provide the best possible care for the medical, surgical and cosmetic needs of our patients. Our Board-Certified Dermatologist, Dr. Hans Sander, believes it is important to practice the three “A’s” emphasized at the Mayo Clinic, where he trained in dermatology—to be Able, Amiable, and Available.
Medical dermatology includes treating common disorders of the skin, hair and nails, such as acne, eczema, dermatitis, infections of the skin, vitiligo, hair loss, psoriasis and skin allergies. However, Dr. Sander is also board-certified in internal medicine and has expertise in treating rare skin diseases such as cutaneous T cell lymphoma and lupus erythematosus.
Screening patients for skin cancer is one of the most important tasks in our office. Melanoma is a potentially fatal skin cancer, and our Austin dermatologists are the frontline defenders in the fight against this serious health problem. Complete skin examinations are important because they are helpful in detecting moles, which may have a serious risk of developing into cancer. Of course, checking the skin for common pre-cancerous growths like actinic keratosis as well as basal cell and squamous cell carcinoma are a part of the complete skin examination.
We also offer a range of cosmetic procedures and dermatology treatments such as Botox, Chemical Peels, Laser Hair Removal, Kybella, Microdermabrasion, and Tattoo Removal. Ask about extended hours for appointments with our licensed aesthetician, Joanie Watson. Whether you suffer from pain, irritation or embarrassment from a persistent skin condition or if you’ve noticed a suspicious new spot or mole, we can help. Contact our office today for more information. New patients are always welcomed.
