Mohs Surgery is a highly specialized surgical technique most commonly used to treat nonmelanoma skin cancers like basal cell carcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma. During Mohs micrographic surgery, cancer is removed layer by layer with each layer examined under a microscope until all cancerous cells have been removed. This technique allows for the complete removal of the cancerous tissue while minimizing the removal of the surrounding healthy skin. Mohs surgery is universally recognized as the preferred method for treating skin cancers, especially on the face, because it leaves minimal damage to the surrounding skin.

Patients with a skin cancer diagnosis can schedule a consultation with Dr. Nadimi in Frederick, Maryland, by calling the office at (240) 422-8862  or by clicking here to request an appointment online.
