Dr. Hood earned her medical degree from Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans, where she was elected to the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. Dr. Hood completed her Internal Medicine internship at Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans and pursued her dermatology residency at New York Medical College in New York City, where she served as chief resident during her final year. Dr. Hood enjoys treating patients of all ages and skin types. Her areas of interest encompass a wide range of skin conditions, including skin cancer, acne, rosacea, psoriasis, eczema, alopecia, blistering diseases, and connective tissue diseases.
Dr. Hood is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery. She actively engages in research projects and has presented her findings at the American Academy of Dermatology Annual Meeting. She is currently accepting patients in Lakewood and Denver for conditions such as acne, psoriasis, eczema, and skin cancer.
