The Greenville location is part of U.S. Dermatology Partners’ Outreach Program which is dedicated to serving the healthcare needs of rural and underserved communities. Patients in rural communities often have challenges accessing specialty healthcare close to home due to a lack of practitioners or extended wait times. The office, staffed by Certified Physician Assistant Kelsey Bodell, recently expanded its services to offer Mohs Surgery to skin cancer patients in the region from a rotation of the organization’s East Texas surgeons, including Drs. William Grabski, Jennifer Holman, and Taylor Dickerson.
Mohs surgery is a specialized surgical technique used for treating skin cancer. It involves removing thin layers of cancerous tissue one at a time and then examining each layer under a microscope until no abnormal cells remain.
