Dr. Chris Surek joins Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery Center in Overland Park, KS

Overland Park, Kansas – Dr. Chris Surek will begin treating patients at Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery Center, located within U.S. Dermatology Partners Overland Park, on July 18.

Christopher Surek, DODr. Surek is a board-eligible plastic surgeon, specializing in aesthetic and cosmetic surgery of the face, breast and body. He completed his medical degree at Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences and plastic surgery residency training at the University of Kansas Medical Center, followed by his fellowship at Cleveland Clinic, ranked No. 2 on the Best Hospitals Honor Roll by U.S. News & World Report. Dr. Surek will be practicing with Daniel Bortnick, MD.

With Dr. Surek’s arrival, Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery opens its dedicated space on the first floor of the Dermatology & Skin Cancer Centers building, 7901 W. 135th St., Overland Park.

Dr. Surek has received three national awards for his research in facial cosmetic surgery. His passion for education and innovation has led him to publish and present original research in cosmetic surgery both nationally and internationally. He has taught facial anatomy for filler injections and facial surgery at a variety of national teaching courses and symposia. Dr. Surek has co-authored four textbook chapters on filler injection, chemical peeling, and facial cosmetic surgery. Most notably, Dr. Surek is the co-author of Facial Volumization: An Anatomic Approach, a facial cosmetic textbook that is currently one of the top-selling textbooks in aesthetic plastic surgery.

Dr. Surek specializes in facelifts, eyelid surgery, brow lifts, skin rejuvenation, rhinoplasty, breast augmentation, breast lifts, liposuction, and abdominoplasty. In addition, he has advanced training in non-invasive facial rejuvenation and performs facial reconstruction following MOHS surgery.

His training and expertise in cosmetic surgery of the face, breast, and body were highly coveted by Dr. Bortnick, who then asked him to join the staff at U.S. Dermatology Partners at Overland Park, where he demonstrates his talents today. Dr. Surek is committed to spending time with his patients, listening to their goals, and developing a customized treatment plan to achieve those goals together.
