Celebrating 8 Great Years in South Austin, Texas
In January 2007, south Austin, Texas welcomed Evans Dermatology, now called U.S. Dermatology Partners Brodie Lane, with open arms. That warm reception has continued through to today as we celebrate the 8th anniversary of our opening. Our continued growth is a testament to our kind and welcoming patients as well as the steady growth of our community.
The first day we opened was blisteringly cold and there was ice on the roads. Although there were icicles on the building, a few of our intrepid patients made it out to christen our new facility. Things warmed up quickly from there and soon we were busy with patients who were happy to find a new doctor much closer to home so they could avoid that famous Austin traffic.
Eryn McIntyre, PA-C joined our practice in late 2007 and then Amy McClung, MD in 2009 as our group expanded to take care of more patients in the south Austin area. In 2010, Lindsey Detwiler, PA-C rounded out our compliment of providers at the Brodie Lane office.
This past year, we’ve had a period of exceptional growth with the opening of two new offices in Kyle and on South Lamar. As south Austin, Texas, and the surrounding community grow, we are committed to growing with it to provide high-quality medical and dermatologic care.
To that end, in August of this year, we will be adding Mohs micrographic surgery, a specialized type of precision surgery for skin cancer, at our South Lamar location with the addition of Jennifer Song Ranario, MD.
One of the most gratifying things about seeing the practice grow has been the blossoming of friendships with staff and patients. At the start, we were lucky enough to long term staff members, which have played a big part in our success and become like family to us. It’s also a great pleasure to continue to see patients who we’ve had a chance to get to know personally over the years.
The last eight years have gone by quickly and we have enjoyed every minute of serving our friends and family. We look forward to many more happy years serving members of our south Austin, Texas communities.
