In August 2017, Dr. Moneé Thomas joins the Houston – Bellaire office of U.S. Dermatology Partners after completing her final year of residency at Howard University in Washington, D.C.
Dr. Thomas, a Louisiana native, received her bachelor’s degree in biology at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge before heading north to Howard University, where she earned her Doctorate of Medicine and completed an internal medicine internship and dermatology residency.
Dr. Thomas has contributed to several presentations on the subject of skin conditions such as morphea, chilblain lupus and skin cancer specific to African-Americans. Dr. Thomas practices general dermatology and has extensive training and experience in laser hair removal, botulinum injections, soft tissue fillers and chemical peels.
Dr. Thomas’ involvement in community outreach and volunteer services equipped her for the many leadership roles she carried out during her training. She served as president of Howard University’s Student Dermatology Society and as chief resident in her final year of residency.
She’s passionate about dermatology because the specialty allows her to help patients become more comfortable and confident in their own skin. She takes a special interest in hair loss and skin of color.
When she’s not caring for patients, Dr. Thomas enjoys creating and admiring art, exercising and sampling new restaurants. She’ll never turn down a crawfish boil! She is excited to be in the Houston area (and nearer her family) and is eager to serve the community of Bellaire.
