Dr. Jeff Coyler is a board-certified plastic surgeon focusing on cosmetic surgery of the face, eyes, nose, body and breast. Dr. Coyler has extensive experience and has received considerable training in the art of plastic surgery.
After earning his Doctorate of Medicine from the University of Kansas School of Medicine, Dr. Coyler went through a plastic surgery residency at the University of Missouri and then a craniofacial/pediatric plastic surgery fellowship at the International Craniofacial Institute in Dallas, Texas.
Since that time, Dr. Coyler has become well-traveled as he has used his surgical skills to lend aid and further relief efforts in several warzones and post disaster areas, including Afghanistan, Iraq, Rwanda, Cambodia, Sierra Leone, Pakistan and others. In Rwanda, he helped set up the first U.S.-sponsored hospital in war zones, and he was the only surgeon in southern Rwanda during the genocide.
Dr. Coyler considers service to his community to be of the utmost importance, and this commitment to service led him to start a career in politics. A member of the Republican Party, he previously served as a member of the Kansas Senate (2009–2011) and of the Kansas House of Representatives (2007–2009). Today, when he is not practicing as a surgeon he serves his community as the 49th and current Lieutenant Governor of Kansas.
Dr. Coyler currently practices the full spectrum of plastic surgery, specializing in the most up-to-date surgical and non-surgical techniques, including skin resurfacing and rejuvenation. These techniques ensure safe and successful results that help boost the self-confidence and self-esteem of his valued patients.
Dr. Colyer is the second Kansan and first plastic surgeon ever selected as a White House Fellow. He has been featured on 60 Minutes and Scars of War, and he has been named to several Top Plastic Surgeon lists. He has made several publications, grand rounds, speaking engagements and media appearances including Nightline, CNN, VOA, NBC, CBS, ABC, BBC, 60 Minutes, Washington Post, New York Times, Wall Street Journal, USA Today, People and Gannett.
Whether abroad or at home in Kansas, Dr. Coyler is committed to using his unique gift to help increase the confidence, health and overall wellbeing of his patients. He is a fifth generation Kansan who grew up in Hays, Kansas, and is married to Ruth with three lovely daughters.
