Dr. Chase Kwon is a dermatologist at U.S. Dermatology Partners Fairfax who provides comprehensive services in medical and cosmetic dermatology.
Originally from Bergen County, New Jersey, Dr. Kwon attended Cornell University for his undergraduate studies, where he pursued a major in biological sciences and a minor in nutrition and health while working in a cancer research laboratory. After college, he dedicated a year of service to AmeriCorps, working at a government-run free clinic in a medically underserved area in Philadelphia. Dr. Kwon attended the University of Rochester School of Medicine in Rochester, New York, where he completed an extra year of training through the Academic Research Track funded by a National Institute of Health (NIH) grant, working in a laboratory that focuses on eczema research under the direct mentorship of Dr. Lisa Beck, an internationally recognized expert in eczema.
Dr. Kwon completed his dermatology residency at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia where he was awarded a certificate of distinction in ethics from the School of Medicine and served as the chief resident in his final year. During his residency, he was selected to attend the Society for Investigative Dermatology’s Future Leaders Retreat and received a scholarship to attend the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery’s Resident Cosmetic Symposium. Dr. Kwon has also presented at multiple medical conferences and authored several scientific publications in premier dermatology journals.
Dr. Chase Kwon cherishes the opportunity to practice dermatology with special interests in treating inflammatory skin diseases like eczema and psoriasis, as well as managing conditions like acne, rosacea, and vitiligo to help patients feel comfortable in their own skin. Dr. Kwon looks forward to serving the Fairfax-Arlington and surrounding communities with the goal of adding value to his patients’ lives through high-quality, ethical care.
