Dr. Lisa Blackwood is a Board-Certified Dermatologist at the Center for Advanced Dermatology, now a part of U.S. Dermatology Partners. She graduated from Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans with top honors as a member of AOA, a prestigious medical honor society. She completed her internship in internal medicine and her dermatology residency training at the University of Illinois at Chicago, where she served as chief resident in her final year.
Dr. Blackwood’s professional interests include skin cancer prevention, early detection, and treatment in addition to a wide array of dermatologic conditions, such as eczema, acne, psoriasis, and rosacea. She enjoys seeing both adults and pediatric patients. Dr. Blackwood also specializes in multiple cosmetic procedures, such as Botox for the treatment of wrinkles and excessive sweating, microneedling, laser procedures, and injectable fillers such as Juvederm, Restylane, Belotero, and Radiesse.
What Dr. Blackwood enjoys most about dermatology is the ability to make a visible impact in her patient’s lives, whether it be early detection of skin cancer, improved quality of life with treatment of inflammatory diseases, or helping her patients maintain a healthy, vibrant appearance with tailored treatment plans that may include topical products, Botox, fillers, or other cosmetic procedures.
Dr. Blackwood is professionally affiliated with the American Academy of Dermatology, American Society of Dermatologic Surgery, American Society for Laser Medicine & Surgery, Women’s Dermatologic Society, Illinois State Medical Society, and Chicago Dermatological Society.
Dr. Blackwood is married with one daughter, one dog, and one cat. She is an animal lover, food lover, and outdoor enthusiast. She looks forward to exploring the restaurants and trails of Colorado with her family.
