  • Sculptra Aesthetic

Sculptra Aesthetic

Sculptra Aesthetic

Sculptra Aesthetic is composed of Poly-L Lactic Acid(PLLA), an FDA-approved, biocompatible, biodegradable material. Sculptra is not a wrinkle filler, but a bio activator or “volumizer”. It works by stimulating the body to produce new collagen at the sites of injection, thereby replacing lost volume and contours to restore a fuller, more youthful appearance. Sculptra does not give results immediately. There is a time factor involved since the true volume effect is created by your own collagen, not the product itself. This collagen replenishment takes place over a period of several months. Patients usually receive 2-4 injection sessions over a period of months to accomplish optimum re-volumization. Results can last for two years or longer. Common areas of treatment are smiles lines, cheekbones, marionette lines, jawline, and temple hollows.

  • SkinPen

SkinPen

SkinPen

This collagen-induction therapy uses medical-grade microneedling to stimulate new collagen and elastin formation. It is effective for acne scars, hyperpigmentation, stretch marks, wrinkles, lax or thin skin, large pores, and aids topical skin-care penetration for increased efficacy. It has little to no downtime. We recommend 3 monthly treatments or up to 6 for acne scars.

  • PDT Treatment

PDT Treatment

Photodynamic Acne Treatment (PDT Treatment)

Photodynamic Acne Treatment (PDT) also called ALA/PDT treatment is a new procedure that treats resistant, hard-to-treat active acne as well as older acne scars. This procedure combines light and a special light-activated topical photosensitizing agent called Levulan. Levulan, which is a clear painless solution, is applied to your skin and left on for 15-60 minutes.

The Levulan is absorbed by active cells like acne sebaceous gland, making the targeted acne cells more sensitive to the light. During the procedure, the medication is activated with Omnilux blue light. This combined interaction of the solution and the light is what gives rise to the term “photodynamic therapy.” A treatment targets and destroys acne activity leaving your skin smoother and in many cases make it possible to discontinue the use of antibiotics or Accutane.

  • Sclerotherapy

Sclerotherapy

Sclerotherapy

Sclerotherapy is the gold standard treatment to improve spider veins on the legs. For the treatment, a solution is injected into the varicose or spider vein. The solution damages the vein, which dissolves over time. The vessels generally disappear over a period of 3 weeks. Optimal results require at least 2 treatments with 3 weeks of healing time between treatment sessions. Support hose is required for several days after the treatment. The goal is to produce a 70-80% improvement overall.

  • Skin Firming / SkinTyte

Skin Firming / SkinTyte

Skin Firming / SkinTyte

The SkinTyte treatment is based on the principle of selective thermolysis and utilizes pulsed light technology to deeply heat your skin while cooling and protecting the entire treated surface. SkinTyte can be provided quickly and comfortably with no downtime. The end result is a more youthful appearance.

The SkinTyte procedure utilizes infrared energy to deeply heat dermal collagen. This process promotes partial denaturation and contraction of collagen. The heat also initiates the body’s natural healing process, which creates a renewed collagen foundation leading to increased skin firmness. Powerful cooling maintains the outer surface of your skin at a cool temperature before, during, and after each pulse providing the patient a comfortable and safe procedure.

The number of treatments needed will vary from patient to patient and your physician can personalize a treatment plan based on the level of improvement you desire. Your physician may also combine SkinTyte with other popular aesthetic procedures to further personalize your treatment.

It is important to keep in mind that this is best used as a series of treatments. Optimal results will typically be seen after 2-5 treatment sessions performed monthly.

  • Halo Laser Resurfacing

Halo Laser Resurfacing

Halo Laser Resurfacing

This unique, first in class technology allows ablative and nonablative fractional laser resurfacing to be accomplished with one treatment, which gives you the results of the gold standard ablative lasers but with nonablative downtime. The results of one treatment with Halo can be compared to receiving numerous of the older Fraxel-type treatments. Halo precisely targets years of damage, including discoloration, sun damage, visible signs of again, uneven skin tone, enlarged pores, poor texture, fine lines, and scar revision.

There is very little downtime and little to no discomfort. You may experience slight swelling for a day or two. Your skin will flake as new skin replaces dead tissue. Your skin will steadily improve over the next few months.

It is recommended to have 2 treatments spaced out by 6 weeks.

More significant improvement will begin to surface after one month once the collagen begins to grow, and it will continue to improve for up to 6 months. Most patients will have excellent results after one treatment session. More severe, deep wrinkles and acne scars may benefit from more than one session.

  • BBL Photofacial

BBL Photofacial

BBL Photofacial

(Broadband Light)

This photorejuvenation treatment uses a broad band of pulsed light to target red and brown discoloration. It is ideal for anyone who wants to diminish freckles, sun spots, facial veins, redness, and brighten the overall skin tone. It can also be used to improve acne. This is considered a “lunchtime procedure” because there is virtually no downtime. You may have slight redness afterward, and your brown spots may initially get darker before they flake off after a few days. It is important to keep in mind that this is best used as a series of treatments. You may not see results after your first treatment, as it often takes 3-5 treatment sessions to see optimal results. It is also recommended to have maintenance treatments once or twice a year. Forever Young BBL photofacial is a series of BBL treatments in sequence on the same day. It is the ONLY procedure that has been proven to activate genes associated with youthful skin, and can even increase collagen growth. You may not see results after your first treatment, as it often takes 3-5 treatment sessions to see optimal results. It is also recommended to have maintenance treatments once or twice a year.

This treatment is available at Trinity Dermatology along with all of our other laser treatments. It is administered by our medical aesthetician, Laura Taylor.

  • Dermal Fillers

Dermal Fillers

Dermal Fillers

Typically Every 6-12 Months

Injectable fillers are used to replace facial volume that we lose as we age. The most common place to have fillers placed is in the “parentheses” lines around the mouth. They can be placed in different areas of the face to improve volume loss, soften lines, enhance the lips, and give an overall more youthful appearance. Different fillers may be more optimal for different areas of volume correction.

We can determine which filler or combination of fillers will give you the best results. The results are immediate. Some people will have bruising and swelling for up to 10 days after the treatment. Most people will benefit from more than one syringe of product, the price of filler is based on the number of syringes injected.

  • Botox Cosmetic

Botox® Cosmetic

Every 4 Months

Botulinum toxin has been FDA approved for cosmetic use since 2002. The same molecule (usually in much higher quantities) is used to treat many other disease states including cervical dystonia, migraines, and even axillary hyperhidrosis. Botulinum toxin A inhibits the muscle contractions that lead to lines and wrinkles. It is most commonly used to soften and erase lines around the eyes (crow’s feet), frown lines, and forehead lines.

It can also soften and improve upper lip vertical lines and wrinkles, certain neck wrinkles, chin dimples, and enlarged jaw (masseter) muscles. Treatments are safe, quick, and have minimal side effects. Typical results are visible after 72 hours, with maximum effect achieved in 2 weeks. The price of injection is based on how many units are used. The number of units depends on the size and strength of your facial muscles.
